Here are a few questions that you may need answering.
1. Is It Safe?
It is a very safe procedure done in a controlled environment inside the studio. You don’t need to have an anaesthetic. We simply ask you to wear protective googles to protect your eyes from the laser. You must also complete a form after we have explained the process and aftercare and what you can expect.
2. Is It Painful
People describe it as having an elastic band flicked on their skin. If you can have a tattoo done without screaming the house down or fainting you will find Laser treatment is less painful. This of course depends on your pain threshold which varies from person to person.
3. Are there any side effects?
The tattoo removal laser treatment may create a superficial burn wound. Some patients may experience bruising or swelling. There is immediate whitening of the treated area, which usually lasts for several minutes.
Many clients then develop blisters, crusts, or scabs within 8-72 hours, which may last for 1-2 weeks or more. The treated areas may be pink or pale after the scab separates.
Scarring, which can be hypertrophic or even keloid, can occur but is very rare. Loss of skin pigment in the treated area can occur, and is temporary except in very rare cases. Healing is usually complete within 4 weeks, although this may vary.
4. How long do I leave between sessions?
We will not repeat the laser treatment on the same area unless it is totally healed. We usually suggest between 6-8 weeks to ensure your first treatment has completely healed.
5. Do I get a discount for more than one session?
Our laser treatment is the cheapest in Leeds, however if you pay for 4 sessions up front you get a fifth free saving £25.00
