We pride ourselves on producing some of the best tattoo work in Leeds.
Many people ask us how the process works for having a new tattoo. Well it can be quite a complex process as there are many factors to take into account.
Firstly the main thing to make sure is that you are 18. We do not or will not tattoo anyone under 18. Sorry guys but even if your parent says they will sign a consent form, its not something we will get involved with. At Inked Studios Morley we feel we should act responsibly.
There are certain tattoos we are dubious about doing. Now this isnt saying we wont do them but tattoos such as finger or hand tattoos, we feel once again that we should advise people under 21 that a hand tattoo for example can affect many different aspects of your life and it can be something many people regret.
There are 3 main questions you should ask yourself.
Have you checked all available resources?
There are sites like tattoofinder.com where you can buy and download designs for our Morley Tatoo Artists to convert into a tattoo. Google Images is a very good source for tattoo designs. A lot of these designs youll find on other sites may not suit you and usually, people like their own twist on a design. We can do that at our Morley Tattoo Studio though so dont worry. Our advice would be to find something you like or maybe a theme then come into the studio to discuss your ideas and we will transform that into a finished tattoo. We dont charge for the design of your tattoo but we will require you to book an appointment and pay a 10% deposit.
They say size isn’t everything but in this case it is! The size of the tattoo will dictate where it can go and how much it will cost. Also think about your job and the impact it may have on that and also whether you may want to add to it later.
So you’ve picked your tattoo design and now you need to decide where its going. Is it thin and vertical?, maybe horizontal writing? Some tattoos might not look as effective in certain places. For example a really small tattoo on the top of your arm might look better on the inside of your wrist.
Costs and Deposits
The price of your tattoo is difficult to give you over the phone or email. You can send us a picture and rough dimensions and we can give you a estimated figure. The detail will also play a part. Basic text might take 45 mins but then do you want shading or scrolls which could add another 30 mins. We will always do our best to give you a price but please be aware that unless you come into the studio, it can only be a rough guide price.
For every appointment made, we require a 20% deposit for your tattoo. This can be done via paypal or you can call into our Morley Tattoo Studio and pay with cash or credit card.
The Small Print
All deposits are non refundable unless your appointment is cancelled within 7 days. this is subject to us not carrying out any design work or draft designs. Our draft design work is free when you book an appointment and leave a deposit. Should you not go ahead with your tattoo, we will use your deposit as payment for the work. When you have your tattoo done we will deduct your deposit off the final price of the tattoo.
If your tattoo requires multiple sittings, we still require a 20% deposit for each appointment.
We are always willing to help and assist you. If we can help we will.
